ESL and 1xBet announce 2021 global esports betting partnership

On 9 March 2021, ESL Gaming announced that 1xBet would become its global betting partner. ESL described 1xBet as the first-ever exclusive global betting partner for ESL Pro Tour CS:GO and ESL One Summer and Winter Dota 2.

What the deal covered

The announced term ran through 2021 and up to IEM Katowice 2022. ESL said the aim was to make things better for esports players and fans.

Planned broadcasts and comments

ESL also shared plans for custom broadcast pieces. These included data-driven player impact cards, match predictions, and custom maps for both CS:GO and Dota 2 shows. Jasmin Haasbach, ESL Director Global Brand Partnerships, welcomed the company's first global deal with 1xBet. Alex Sommers, speaking for 1xBet, said the deal was meant to grow the brand's esports presence. The release also noted that 1xBet received the 2020 SBC Awards Esports Operator of the Year award.
