1xBet issues a response to 2019 UK advertising allegations
An iGaming Business report dated 13 August 2019 carried 1xBet's answer to claims. The claims were about ads on sites where they were not allowed.
The operator said outside partners had placed the ads. It said it did not know about them and had not agreed to them.
1xBet said it had opened an internal review to keep a closer eye on such things. The company also said it had taken on another team of specialist advisers for the UK market.
Regulator and licence picture at the time
The report quoted the Gambling Commission. It said the Commission was still looking into 1xBet and its ties with FSB. The report gave no other details of the case.
The company said it meant to work with the regulator. It said that at the time it was trying to get a full UK operating licence.
The article said the UK-facing website was offline. In August 2019 it showed a page saying it was not available.
