1xBet Names Two New Advisers in April 2026

On 17 April 2026, Focus Gaming News published a 1xBet company release. It named Chris Bird and Quirino Mancini as strategic consultants. A second release ran through iGaming News on 16 April.
What the 1xBet roles cover
The job covered research and policy talks. It also covered hands-on tools to keep players safe. The pair were asked to help build long-term plans for the years ahead. The remit also covered education and wider responsible-gaming work.
The release tied the appointments to a Player Protection Index Series. It looks at Western Europe, Africa and Latin America.
Who the two 1xBet advisers are
The release called Chris Bird a former Manchester City senior executive. It cited his work in sport, media, sponsorship and community projects.
The release called Quirino Mancini an expert in gaming law and rules. A 16 April release names him a former IMGL president. It also names him a serving member of the IMGL Executive Committee.
Community work the release cited
The release named Nigeria's 1xCup and Kenya's Waziri 1xCup as community projects. Waziri 1xCup was said to mix football, basketball and rugby. The release says over six thousand fans came to the 2025 final. That figure comes from the company.
Other cited work included wheelchair gifts, food handouts, sports kit and small-business aid. The planned global framework was meant to link research, education and community work. These are the firm's own claims about its plans and activity.
Earlier 1xBet education work
The 1xBalance site calls itself a 1xBet learning platform. It says public access is free. Its self-check has ten questions on habits, budgets, time and loss chasing. A calculator takes a bankroll and a chosen stake share. That is simple maths, not proof any stake is safe.
A 1xBalance recap dated 3 November 2025 describes a three-month learning campaign. It ran weekly Know Your Limits quizzes. It also ran a four-week Bet Smarter Marathon. The recap notes a move to a lasting public site.
Later 1xCare launch
A 30 June 2026 release announced the launch of 1xCare. The owner of the 1xBet trademark ran it. The release named Simon Westbury as chairperson. It set out four pillars: Research Hub, EduCare, TechShield, and Support & Well-Being. This came after the April roles.
- Research Hub: planned studies, research grants and open publication.
- EduCare: learning for players, industry staff and sports staff.
- TechShield: watching player habits, early risk signals and player tools.
- Support & Well-Being: grants and ties with qualified support providers.
The 1xCare site names Bird and Mancini on its advisory committee. It also names compliance specialist Sissel Weitzhandler as an adviser. The site says funding should not sway research results or what programmes come first. That is the group's own policy.
