1xBet’s 1xCare Holds Media Training for 1xCup Clubs

A release published on 11 August 2026 reported an online workshop for clubs taking part in 1xCup. Chris Bird led the workshop on 29 July 2026. The release said Bird is a member of the 1xCare Advisory Committee. 1xCare is linked to 1xBet.

What the workshop covered

The workshop was called Helping Football Tell Better Stories. The topics included how clubs tell their stories, dealing with the media, matchday messages, photography, social media and how to answer a crisis in a responsible way.

The session used live polls, group talks and exercises. These came from the problems clubs face when they talk to the public.

The release said more than 100 media officers signed up.

1xCup context

The release said the 2026 1xCup edition had about 100 clubs. Those clubs were spread across Lagos State's five traditional football divisions.

1xCare said it planned more programmes for teaching and learning as its EduCare work grew.
