1xBet Names Kai Sotto as Asia Ambassador

1xBet announced Filipino basketball player Kai Sotto as its ambassador for Asia. The announcement appeared in a February 2024 industry release.

The company said the role covers the Philippines, Japan, China, Indonesia, Thailand and other Asian countries. It described the deal as part of a wider effort to support sport in the region. It named brand awareness and basketball growth as goals.

Sotto said the ambassador role would widen his platform. He wanted to help Philippine basketball at home and abroad. He plays as a centre and stands 2.21 metres tall. He was born on 11 May 2002 in Las Piñas, Philippines.

Career Background

His career included two seasons with the Adelaide 36ers after he signed in 2021. He later moved to Japan. The release also said he represented the Philippines at the 2023 FIBA Basketball World Cup.
