1xBet Named FIBA Global Betting Partner to 2027

A 1xBet company release came out on 20 December 2024. It reported a new FIBA deal. FIBA picked 1xBet as its only Global Betting Partner until December 2027. The term runs three years. The release did not give a signing day.
What the 1xBet Deal Covers
The deal covers senior national-team games for men and women. It also covers standard basketball and 3x3 basketball. Only in Sports Betting and Online Betting does the deal grant exclusive rights. The plan adds a Game Predictor and digital ads at key FIBA events.
Integrity Duties in the 1xBet Deal
The release says 1xBet agreed to give money to FIBA's work against match fixing and illegal betting. The deal also requires a named contact. That person helps with probes and shares useful information. These duties sit next to the marketing rights.
That role is not the same as a national federation's integrity officer. FIBA asks each country group to name an integrity Single Point of Contact. Those officers link straight to FIBA. Their tasks include teaching and running a national reporting platform.
FIBA runs required webinars made with the International Olympic Committee. It also made a betting-education video with the IOC Athlete365 community. A third part is SWISH. This sport-policy programme sits inside TIME-OUT 2.0. SWISH uses talks, workshops and open discussion. It aims to teach people who speak for these groups.
FIBA Rules on Match Fixing
FIBA defines competition manipulation as a deliberate, improper change. It means changing a result or the progress of a contest. The FIBA Speak Up platform takes private standard or anonymous reports. Topics include match fixing, betting concerns, doping and governance issues.
1xBet Deal and Player Rules Are Separate
FIBA's player guide bars players from betting on basketball, even through another person. It also bars betting on sports at a multi-sport event the player joins. These fair-play rules apply to players no matter who backs the games.
The guide also warns players not to share private team details with bettors. Players must report odd approaches or match-fixing concerns. A player can be punished for not reporting, even if they took no part. The guide sends readers to Book 1, Chapter 5 for the full rules. Player duties like these are not the same as the sponsor's contract duties.
