1xBet Becomes Global Betting Partner of the Billie Jean King Cup
In April 2025, 1xBet was named Official Global Betting Partner of the Billie Jean King Cup. The deal was called exclusive. Events were set to start with April qualifiers. The release gave no signing date or end date.
What the 1xBet Billie Jean King Cup announcement actually granted
Sources say it gave 1xBet rights to use Billie Jean King Cup branding. It also covered courts and media assets during qualifiers, playoffs and finals.
The people quoted at the time
Kerstin Lutz, chief executive of the Cup, spoke about the deal. She said work would start with the April qualifiers. Mark Wilson also spoke for 1xBet. Both quotes came from the April 2025 release.
1xBet and the wider 2025 competition under one timeline
The competition began in 1963 as the Federation Cup. It marked the ITF's fiftieth anniversary. The first event at Queen's Club in London drew sixteen nations. The United States beat Australia in the first final. There was no prize money; teams paid their own costs.
Regional qualifying began in 1992. By 1994, seventy-three nations competed. The shorter Fed Cup name and home-and-away ties came in 1995. The Billie Jean King Cup name was adopted in 2020.
The 2020–2024 Finals format featured twelve teams at one location, according to the competition's official history. In 2025, that changed to eight teams, mirroring the Davis Cup Final 8. The 2025 qualifying transition used six three-team round-robin groups.
Past champions and Finals hosts got automatic places in the 2025 Finals. A separate 2025 partner notice named the old Fed Cup name and listed 146 entered nations. The ITF partner page says the 1xBet deal was announced in April 2025.
