Gems of Serengeti pays for matching symbols along its lines, and the gem count can start a second feature. Open the official studio demo to read the separate payout tables for those two parts of the game.
The studio demo has one paytable for ordinary symbol matches and separate rules for gem awards. The game switches to special reels during its features. A gem count can trigger respins, while a matching line follows the ordinary paytable.
What the demo shows you on screen
The official English studio session opens directly on the reels with a virtual credit balance of 100,000 and a stake of 2. Information sits in the lower left corner and opens the native rules, which run to seven pages. Spin plus the bet minus and plus controls sit in the lower right, and the layout holds up on desktop and mobile widths. Everything in the demo uses virtual coins, so nothing there reflects a real balance.
Because the controls are simple, the useful part of the demo is reading the paytable and the information pages. The figures quoted in this article come from those pages and from the paytable displayed inside the session itself.
Base game payouts
Symbols pay from left to right on adjacent reels, starting from the leftmost reel. Only the highest win on a line is paid, and when several lines win at once, all of those wins are added to the total. Every win is multiplied by the bet per line, so the displayed coin awards scale with your stake level.
The table below lists the coin awards shown in the studio paytable at a two-credit total stake. Use the counts as printed; they are the native coin values, not a re-scaled money figure.

Three symbols also have special rules:
- Wild mask substitutes for all symbols except BONUS. The current studio rules show the mask on all reels and place the BONUS drum on reels 1, 3 and 5.
- Gem symbol is present on all reels. Gems are the trigger for the respin feature and the currency of the free spins round.
- BONUS symbol starts the free spins feature when three land together.
How the respin feature works
The respin feature begins when five or more gem symbols land in a single spin. It does not start immediately. The rules are explicit that the feature starts only after all win combinations on the lines have been paid, so a base-game line win is settled first and the gem sequence follows it.
Once the feature starts, the reels change in a way that makes the chain easy to follow:
- Normal symbols fade away, and only the gems that triggered the feature stay in the positions where they landed.
- The normal reels are replaced by special reels that contain gem symbols and empty spaces only.
- You begin with three respins, and every gem that lands stays on screen until the round ends.
- Each time at least one gem hits, the respin count resets back to three, which is what allows the sequence to extend.
- The round ends when the respins run out or when every position on screen is filled with gems.
At the end of the round, the total number of gems on screen decides the payout from a fixed list.

The award increases with the number of gems on screen. The table reaches 500 times the total bet at twenty gems.
Free spins and the two gem paths
Landing three BONUS symbols triggers the free spins feature, which awards ten spins. Free spins cannot retrigger during that round.
The game collects every gem that lands during free spins. The same round can also produce ordinary line wins. At the end of those ten spins, the number of collected gems decides which of two routes the round takes.
- Collected five to nineteen gems awards a respin feature. It starts with as many gems as were collected during free spins, placed in random positions on screen, and then follows the same respin rules described above.
- Collected twenty or more gems pays an amount directly at the end of the round, with no respin feature involved.
The direct-award table is the larger of the two gem tables.

The game adds its free-spins and respin wins to ordinary payline wins. The gem award tables use the total bet, while line wins use the bet per line. The rules also state that a free spins or respin round win is awarded to the player after the round completes, and that the history entry shows the whole win of that cycle rather than separate pieces.
