Grid, symbol blocks and paying wins

Fire Portals is played on a 7x7 grid of symbols. All symbols pay in blocks of a minimum of 5 symbols. These symbols must be connected horizontally or vertically. Only the highest win is paid per winning combination. A player can win with multiple blocks. All wins are added to the total win. All wins are multiplied by the base bet.

Tumble feature and win collection

After every spin, winning combinations are paid. All winning symbols disappear except for the SCATTER symbol. The remaining symbols fall to the bottom of the screen. New symbols from above replace the empty positions. Tumbling continues until no more winning combinations appear. This happens as a result of a tumble. All wins are added to the player's balance.

This happens after all tumbles from a base spin have been played.

Fire Portal Wild appearance and substitution

The FIRE PORTAL WILD symbol substitutes for all symbols except for the SCATTER. A FIRE PORTAL WILD appears as a result of any winning combination. That combination must not already contain an instance of it. It appears in a random position within the area of the winning combination that spawned it. This happens after the winning symbols have exploded.

Fire Portal Wilds remain on the screen until the end of all tumbles. These tumbles result from a spin.

Wild multiplier growth, cap and merging

Whenever a WILD appears, it starts off with a multiplier of x1. Every time it is used in a winning combination, the multiplier increases by x1. After explosion, the WILD moves one position randomly. It moves up, down, left or right within the area of the winning combination. The multiplier applies to the win of all winning combinations that contain that WILD.

The maximum value the multiplier can reach is x2500. If 2 or more WILDS are part of the same winning combination, they merge into a single one. This happens after the combination is paid. Their multipliers multiply between each other. If 2 or more WILDS are shared with multiple winning combinations, they merge according to a priority.

First to the combinations with the most amount of WILDS. Followed by the combination containing the highest paying symbol.

Free Spins trigger, awards and retrigger

Hitting 3, 4, 5, 6 or 7 SCATTER symbols triggers the FREE SPINS feature. It awards 10, 12, 14, 16 or 18 free spins respectively. Wild persistence inside Free Spins

During the FREE SPINS, the FIRE PORTAL WILD symbols stay on the screen until the end of the round. FIRE PORTAL WILD symbols may hit on the spin that triggered the feature. If so, the round starts with them on the screen in the same position.
