1xBet and the SiGMA Africa 2024 Award
On 11 March 2024, 1xBet was named Best Sportsbook Operator of the Year at the SiGMA Africa Awards. The gala took place at the GrandWest Complex in Cape Town, South Africa. It formed part of the SiGMA Africa exhibition. The win was announced in a release published by Focus Gaming News on 18 March 2024.
How 1xBet Won the SiGMA Africa Award
The release says two things chose the winner. First, people voted on the awards page. Second, a panel of experts gave their views. The organiser's winners list also names 1xBet as Best Sportsbook Operator 2024.
The winners list keeps two kinds of award apart. One is for operators. The other is for suppliers. BetConstruct was named Best Online Sportsbook Provider. 1xBet won the operator award.
What Else Happened in Cape Town
Lilly Douse and Mark Borg hosted the gala. BetConstruct sponsored the SiGMA Africa awards. The night also held a charity art auction for SiGMA Foundation projects.
Organisers named 22 winners that night.
1xBet's Other Wins in Early 2024
The same March 2024 release listed two earlier wins from that year.
- Best Mobile Casino at SiGMA Eurasia, noted in the 2024 release.
- Affiliate Company of the Year at the International Gaming Awards 2024.
Those wins cover casino, affiliate and sportsbook. The firm listed them all in the same release. They remain company statements.
Why 1xBet Named the African Market
Company spokespeople said Africa mattered to their growth plans. That was the company's view in March 2024.
